RAISER EDI PAYMENT

Let’s say it is that time of the month when you’re checking your bank account statement and then you see something like “RAISER EDI PAYMENT” and right off the bat, it just doesn’t make any sense. Like what is this payment? Why is it showing up on your account or why did you receive it? Well, just to clarify here, you see, it is a payment coming from the Riser LLC company, which is actually linked with Uber. So? Well nothing, it is probably the payment you received for giving rides on behalf of Uber’s name. And the “EDI” part in this transaction label? Oh, that’s just the short form for electronic payment or something like that.

All in all, if you’re an Uber driver, it is just your paycheck showing up in your account, but let’s say you do not do such a job but still you saw something like this in your bank statement, then the case could be a little different. Though, we’d say don’t panic just yet, we’ll figure it out together in a bit!

Why’s This Showing Up on My Statement?

As we told you already this is a payment coming from Riser LLC, which is linked with Uber, which means it is just your payment or earnings from picking up passengers as an Uber driver. Simple as that! Here’s how you can confirm it though, just check back in your Uber driver app, and match the amount and date with the payment history from there. Simple! But, here’s the thing, like what if you have never worked as an Uber driver? Well, in that case, it could be a refund of some sort, like when you take a ride with Uber or something like that. And what if you have literally zero connection with Uber? What then? Oh, in that case, it could very well be a mistake made by the company, still, nothing to worry about. Either way, we’ve got simple steps coming up to sort it out.

Weird Stuff You Didn’t Expect

As we already talked about this in the previous section, some folks who’ve never even driven for Uber say they’ve gotten this payment. That sounds a bit strange, wouldn’t you agree? In such a case, it could be that this is actually from some old Uber account that you forgot about, or maybe, just maybe that this payment is part of a legal settlement made by Uber, where they were asked to pay the settlement amount to the users. That’s also a possibility.

So, Do You Need To Call Your Bank Or Credit Card Company?

Well, maybe not! See, it is confirmed that this is a payment that has something to do with Uber, which is a huge company in the United States. So yes, nothing to worry about there, like, it is not some fishy transaction or something like that. But still, if you want, you can check back with your bank people or credit card company. They’ll be more than happy to explain things to you.
