AAA ACG NE0069 EFT RCC

Date:

AAA ACG NE0069 EFT RCC

Let’s say some transaction appeared on your credit card statement with a label like “AAA ACG NE0069 EFT RCC” and it straight up seems like a fishy one to you, right? It should be, because with such a big label and a lot of numbers and characters, you must be expecting to know where it came from and what is it all about, but nah. It sounds all too confusing. Though we’re here to simplify things a bit here, and yes, as many of you guessed, this AAA means American Automobile Association and this charge has something to do with the renewal of their membership. But what does the ACG mean then? Oh, that’s just the Auto Club Group (ACG), you know, a division of AAA.

Let’s get to know a little more about it all, shall we?

So, Why Exactly Does It Appear?

As we said, it has something to do with the AAA membership, and in most cases where people are confused about this charge, well, it is just the annual fee for AAA services that got deducted from your credit card. That’s all!

And yes, we get it, since now you’re at it, you want to know what the last part of the “EFT RCC” part means here, right? Well, most probably, it stands for things like Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and a Recurring Credit Card Charge (RCC). Clear now?

Is This Legitimate?

Well, from the looks of it, yes, this charge seems legitimate and there is nothing fishy going on here. Especially if you’re an AAA member, then you shouldn’t even be surprised with this charge showing up on your bank or credit card statement.

But let’s say, you’re still a bit confused about it all, and don’t fully understand this charge, or maybe, this looks a little different on your credit card statement, then you can straight up call the AAA, and let them know about this. They’ll be more than happy to help you out with this.

And why does the “NE0069” part in the charge sound or look like a regional code? Well, because that is exactly what it is. It actually points to Dearborn, Michigan, showing how AAA uses specific codes for different regions, you know?

What If You Don’t Remember Signing Up For AAA Membership?

Well, it could very well be that you haven’t even signed up for AAA membership but this charge is still showing on your credit card. What then? Well, in that case, you can first up call AAA and confirm it that way and if they say that your credit card was used for membership renewal then it means that somebody else did it, not you.

So? We’d say that if this is the case and now you have confirmed it, we’ll recommend you to just call your bank or credit card company, tune them into whatever is going on and then ask for some sort of solution. Most likely, they’ll verify your details and block your credit card. Then what? Well, they’ll surely issue a new one, which only you’ll have access to.
