NETFLIX LOS GATOS CHARGE

NETFLIX LOS GATOS CHARGE

We get it, staring at a charge with a label that reads something like NETFLIX LOS GATOS CHARGE is a bit confusing. So, what is it really? Like, is there something you should be alarmed about and do something because it might be a shady or scam charge? Well, for most of you out there, it should be pretty obvious that this is not some scam charge, it is for that Netflix subscription you signed up for recently, that’s all. It literally says “NETFLIX” at the beginning of this charge label on your credit card bill. Well, that’s understandable, but then what is this “LOS GATOS” bit? Oh, that one, well, that is just the Netflix headwaters in Los Gatos, California. Alright, that’s enough of the clarification here, if you want to know a little more about this charge, then just keep on reading.

Why’s This Thing Even Showing Up?

See, when you sign up for a Netflix subscription, it isn’t a one-time thing, it is a recurring payment that you have to pay every single month to access the content library of Netflix, simple as that! That’s only until you cancel the subscription and next month, you won’t be charged a dime. That’s usually how things work with streaming service subscriptions.

So, it is pretty straightforward actually, if you have a Netflix account and you also signed up for their subscription plan, let’s say a basic one, which is $9.99 or maybe a higher plan which is $19.99 or something like that. In that case, you’ll certainly see a charge appear on your bank or credit card statement saying something like NETFLIX LOS GATOS CHARGE.

How Do You Check If It’s Legit?

Still want to confirm it? Well, let’s say you’re someone who bought a Netflix subscription a month ago, but you thought that was just it, but then again, you see something like this charge appear on your credit card statement. What would you think of it? Sure, you’ll be a little sceptical about it, in your mind, it may be a scam charge or something like that. To confirm it though, just log into your Netflix account, and then on the dashboard, you’ll see an “Account” section, and under there, just check out the “Billing” section and that’s where you’ll find the payment history. If this same amount is shown there too with the same date, then it is pretty much legit. What if it is not? Well, that’s where you have the right to be concerned about it. We get it.

What If It’s Not Supposed to Be There?

Okay, so maybe you’re staring at this charge, and you’re like, ‘Nope, not mine,’ and with the payment history shown in your personal Netflix account, you have confirmed this doubt of yours too. What then? Well, it could be that somebody else is using your credit card to pay for their Netflix subscription, that should be straight-up alarming to you. If that’s the case, you don’t call Netflix and ask them to refund you, nah, you actually call your bank people or credit card company and let them know that you didn’t make such a payment. In this case, not only you’ll have higher chances of getting your money back, but they’ll also make sure that this happens to you over and over again. How? Well, they’ll probably block your previous credit card and issue a new one, that’s precisely how!
