Google Disney Mobile Charge

When looking at a charge that says “GOOGLE DISNEY MOBILE CHARGE” on your credit card bill, this might not make sense. And that’s because you don’t remember thinking of signing up for any service like that, where there is a link between Google and Disney. But to be honest, there is a link. You see, this could very well be the charge regarding the Disney+ subscription that you purchased using the Google Play Store. And that is why it is showing up there in your credit card bill. Let’s have a look at how that’s possible.

Why Does It Say “Google Disney Mobile”?

Google, when making/generating bills, do not display the name of the app but use general labels sometimes. In our, or this particular case, “Google Disney Mobile” is the label that users would usually see on their payment confirmation for any Disney-related purchases via the Google Play app store. This method assists in the organization of similar purchases as well as with faster and easier transactions for Google.

Where Is This Charge Coming From?

There could actually be different (or several) reasons that can very well trigger this charge, and it shows up on your credit card bill. Like:

  • Via a Disney+ subscription bought from the Google Play Store.
  • By doing an in-app purchase in a Disney game (such as coins, character skins, or other game items).
  • Paying for a package that comprises of other Disney-owned services like Hulu or ESPN+.

It is also possible that apps made by other companies are mistakenly marked with this label, but still, in the majority of cases, they are related to a Disney service or product.

How To Check What You Purchased

If you wish to verify that the charge is correct/legit or made from your device, you should simply carry out the following easy instructions:

  • Log in to your Google Account.
  • Go over to Payments & Subscriptions.
  • That’s where you are going to see all your Google Play transactions, the dates, and how much you paid.

Check your email for the invoices you received from Google Play. If you find the date and the sum match, then you can identify that payment.

What If You Didn’t Make This Purchase?

If you believe that the charge is not committed by you, follow the steps described below:

  • Access your Google Account and declare the charge as unauthorized.
  • They will take it from you, and if possible, Google will examine this case and may refund your money.
  • Does it not work? In that very case, just go ahead and simply get in touch with your bank or card provider and request the charge to be disputed. Then, the process will be taken over by them.

Stopping and Avoiding Surprise Bills

To cancel any recurring charges, launch the Google Play Store app and then navigate to Subscriptions. Locate the Disney service you wish to quit and tap “Cancel.” If you are in a family pool of accounts, you can also exit the family sharing group or remove the persons who have access to your account and are making purchases without your consent. And to further fortify your security, you might as well enable purchase authentication that way, every purchase made on Google Play will be needing your fingerprint or your password.
